After moving to Los Angeles, came the realization of a big divide, from the entertainment industry and the melting pot of communities that is this city.

As a professional in media, I saw a lack of POC in every room I entered. Being a fond believer that when you know better, you do better, el cine was created.

Film schools are expensive, creating a gap that only excludes underfunded communities.

At El Cine we believe film education begins at the cinema and through conversations.

El Cine aims to not only bridge the gap between media and community as well as educate filmmakers and companies to become better allies.

Después de mudarme a Los Ángeles, me di cuenta de una gran división entre la industria del entretenimiento y la diversidad de comunidades que es esta ciudad.

Como profesional en la industria, vi una falta de POC en cada puerta en la que entré. Siendo un creyente de que cuando sabes mejor, lo haces mejor, se creó el cine.

Las escuelas de cine son caras, lo que crea una brecha que solo excluye los que mas necesitan oportunidad.
